The computing helpdesk is located in the Spärck Jones Building , on Floor 2 in Room 4 (SJ2/04).
Buy print credits: print credits bought here can be used across campus.
Sort out log-in problems: If you are having trouble we can unlock your account, reset your password and help you resolve other issues that may be preventing you from logging onto the computers
Borrow equipment: we have a variety of items available for loan to support your module work. Some can be booked out for a couple of days “off the shelf” others may require pre-booking
Pick up a “How To” sheet: if you want to know how to upload your website, connect to your SVN repository, log in to Oracle, access your K:\drive on Linux etc. we can give you a help sheet.
Get help with technical problems: if we are not busy we may be able to help you sort out technical problems with your own kit
We are open from 08:45 until 16:45 from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays we open at 08:45 and close at 16:30
In the holidays we are open from 09:00-12:00 and from 13:00-16:00
The Help Desk is closed on Bank Holidays and at other times, such as over Christmas, when University buildings are closed
